The goal of this mentorship program is to teach an Indigenous photographer about night photography and how to instruct others in (night) photography. The program will begin in January 2022 and run until March 2023, when the mentee will act as the Assistant Instructor at the Women’s Night Photography Retreat in the Northwest Territories, March 15-19, 2023.

Monika Deviat Photography will be providing virtual mentorship and training from January 2022 to March 2023, covering the cost of flights from the applicants location to Yellowknife for the retreat, and offering spots in select 2022 workshops for the mentee to learn skills. The mentee will be responsible for travel and any related costs like accommodations and meals where applicable apart from the 2023 retreat. The mentee will be responsible for travel insurance and medical insurance.
