Photography Foundations Workshop

This photography foundations course will teach you everything you need to know about the fundamentals of digital photography. What you learn in this course can be applied to all genres of photography. Whether you are into landscape photography, portraits, hoping to take better travel or family photos, this workshop covers everything you need! Learning the foundations will give you the knowledge and understanding you require to keep developing your skills and creating stronger images.
To keep you going throughout the day, coffee and tea will be provided. A hot lunch will be catered by Reflective Catering.
The photography foundations course is designed for beginner photographers or intermediate photographers who would like to brush up on their foundations.
What is Covered:
- Camera equipement – types, accessories, care, etc.
- Automatic, semi-automatic and manual modes
- Navigating menus
- Settings such as ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, etc.
- Understanding light (we will briefly discuss flashes if time permits)
- Composition and creativity
Students are encouraged to ask questions throughout the day as the course is intended to be interactive. The instructor will spend time with each person and their camera to ensure participants know how to adjust all settings and utilize all the fundamental components.
Class size is limited.
