In the spring of 2021, I did a lot of hiking for Milky Way shots, including this night up Bear’s Hump in Waterton National Park. Waterton is known for its wind, but as I was hiking up the air was very still. Of course, once I set up for a self portrait, the famous winds came blasting up against the ridge. Lucky for me the wind was pushing me onto the ridge instead of off of it…
