This shot is actually from my first year getting immersed in night photography. I took a chance on this location – my original idea didn’t work because of light pollution and I had never shot at Vermillion Lakes before. Nor had I seen any Milky Way images from this spot at that point. The haze in the air made for some unique conditions and colours due to the light pollution coming from Banff and Canmore.
