Trying to catch shooting stars, meteors, and the like is difficult. A lot of times it just comes down to chance. This particular image is taken from a time-lapse sequence. The camera was running continuously for two hours capturing the Milky way moving through the sky. I missed the flash when the happened, perhaps because I huddled around my camera trying to block it from wind and to keep myself warm. It was a nice surprise to see what I caught when I was reviewing the sequence.
