I am thrilled to announce that I am a Nikon Canada Ambassador!
I waited to announce this news for a little bit because I wanted to be somewhat coherent when I sat down to write something and put out posts. The end of March and the beginning of April were a bit insane while I was travelling. I was in the middle of my Iceland trip when I was asked to have a call with Nikon.

Iceland was an amazing experience and it started by pushing my ability to not sleep. The day I arrived I ended up making a 6-hour drive (with some photo breaks) to a location where I had clear skies and a chance of aurora. Luckily, that ended up being a successful choice! I followed that up with a three-hour nap before a stunning sunrise. The unique landscape and stunning weather conditions had me out as much as possible. On the day of my scheduled call with Nikon, I had been aggressively exfoliated by black sand for hours in the morning and followed it up with a long drive to my next base. I had not slept properly or at all for days. When Nikon told me why they were calling, I was completely surprised. And so, you may guess that my initial response was very eloquent.

This was never part of any plan and I think it’s so cool that my journey, experiences, and the all people I have met led me here. My parents bought me a Nikon D90 as a graduation gift (Physics, not Photography in university). Heavy metal and that first camera are the reasons I became a concert photographer. A meeting with a random internet stranger for an adventure with two other strangers into the middle of nowhere for my first Milky Way photoshoot is likely the critical point that led me to a career in photography. Darkness changed my life.

Thank you Nikon Canada for continuing to support me and bringing me on to the Ambassador team. I am honoured to be recognized and truly appreciate being welcomed for my skills and who I am.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me on this journey by joining me on workshops, coming to my seminars, buying prints, and engaging with me online.
